First Year Sponsored Walk

€4000 raised for Rumbek

Yes, this is the amazing total raised by the first year students in aid of our 'twin' school in Rumbek in the Sudan. We support the Rumbek project because of the involvement of Sr. Anne Farren, IBVM, who was both a pupil and a teacher when our school was known as Loreto College. Special thanks to: all the people who sponsored the walkers; Mrs. Doherty for organising the event; Mrs. Jordan and the prefects for supervising and providing the refreshments; all the young teachers who did the walk themselves (the sessions in the new fitness suite must be working alright)
